According to The DailyMail, Jamie has already performed on stage in front of a 1000 people in a west end show, despite saying he had never sung in front of an audience.

Jamie Pugh has a hard time staying on key. He has a better chance at acting … especially after pulling the not-so-believable sympathy card and actually convincing many people that he had an almost incurable case of stage fright. The only thing Jamie had to fear was hitting the wrong notes … which he did … many times. Technically speaking, he swallowed his notes and the words to whatever he was singing. My advice to Jamie would be to keep singing if he really enjoys it so much … but do it in the shower.
jamie… stilll a favorite among the usa and all of these people commenting…. Great Talent and refreshingly a down to earth type guy… and we need more people like you in the world… even these negative people on this comment page.. must like you… or just like being combatant…and kick up dust… you have had so………many hits on your video… that tells the truth about you…
no need to justify your statement of not a large crowd question and answer… that is history and not really important…know that simon liked you, amanda did and does…and piers doesn’t really and amanda don’t really know what they like…. except maybe themselves…too self involved..and that’s ok…. you were terrific… wish you would have chosen a stronger song…which shows your intermost emotions and strength… and your vocal range… you are the kind of man, you and your family…that i would like living next door…. real people… i know that Reality show is really reality,
political…. too hollywood and too much the susan boyle show… not to take anything away from her. however, they have even ruined her…. l really think that part of her charm was the way she looked, dressed and sang… her first performance was far more superior than the last… she didn’t really Nail It… You can really be proud of yourself… you touch a lot of people and have given a lot of people worldwide pleasure and that in itself.. says alot about you…. God’s Peace to you and your family… they must be more proud of you than are we… you were much more of a gentleman accepting the judges’ comments..than they giving them… the crowd loved you..

Jamie never said he had not sung in front of an audience, Simons question was “have you ever sang in front of an audience like this”? A live audience and live tv audience!!! He is a great singer and he did not lie, PERIOD! So pooie on all the negative big mouths!!!!!!!!!
Still waiting for information about Jamie! Is he in a recording studio? Does he have an agent? Are we going to hear anything soon? Love Jamie Pugh so much! Just absolutely love him!
just a reply to annie, jamie is releasing “bring him home” in february and i believe that there are things planned for the new year. He has been quietly getting prepared for the future and now is coming along nicely. Jamie decided after BGT to take a step back and evaluate everything and see what he could do to progress. Watch this space…..
