Britain’s Got Talent star Jamie Pugh’s girlfriend hits out at claims the singer lied at his audition. The humble singer’s girlfriend of eight years Donna Davies, 35, defends her man.
She tells new!: “It was very hurtful. They made it sound like he had lied. He is no liar ….They said he has been in the West End for months, but he did one amateur thing. He didn’t have a contract and didn’t get paid. There was no way they could have paid him, anyway – it was appalling. I mean, I love him to death, but that was just awful!”

this is the fourth time i have commented just today. i can’t believe this thing has grown so ugly. i feel bad for anybody in jamie pugh’s circle of family, friends or coworkers. i could end up on the wrong side of this but i don’t think so. i am convinced he is a delivery man with a great voice who did not know how to turn his talent into a career. it happens all the time, with other kinds of talent as well, such as math skills. people do not recognize their own ability or they are not sure how to market themselves. the entertainment industry is full of people who have convinced the public of their talent through a show of self confidence, not necessarily great performances. simon said it as plainly as can be said. he told jamie he had the ability but it would take the self belief to pull it off, meaning to be able to stop delivering pizza and start a singing career. even paul potts kept his phone sales job for months, just in case. but back to jamie pugh. he probably wishes he were the great actor some are suggesting he is. imagine, even his partner was in on his act, if one believes the current hysteria, you can see her nervously waiting his performance and once he gets started, she breaks into relieved applause. it is because the first few notes of his west end gig were a disaster. her relief was that his first few bgt notes were actually good. she probably knew he would then make it through the rest. i am amazed at anybody who believes the liar liar pants on fire articles that are out there. is the sun the uk version of the national enquirer? it must be. the public did not get duped in this case, i am sure. and for those who see conspiracy everywhere, leave me out of it. i have never met the man. i just want him to be left in peace so that he will sing again, a longer song, with confidence. i am no expert but i suspect his bgt performance was the tip of the berg. i can’t wait to see jamie pugh let it loose. he came close on bgt, it was right there, but he held it back. i hope he chooses the right song for the semi final. and then repeats the first one at full throttle for the final.
I’m another “fourth comment” writer, too. This non-issue is driving a lot of people nuts. So Donna: YOU GO, GIRL!

When you sing, all the yearnings of the heart fly out of you–we hold our breaths. It is incredible consolation for all of us who have mourned and thought we would never live again. It’s also just plain great singing!
Today was a beautiful spring day in New England. In the glorious amber light of late afternoon I spent several hours at the cemetery where my little girl is. Once a farm field where I played as a kid, now it is pretty rolling meadows bordered by old stone walls, mossy paths, magnolia, apple, and pear blossoms, pale green of leaves still unfurling after a hard winter–and a new crop of stones every spring. My little one is “home” in a place I once larked about in–and it’s the only place I’m truly “home.” God bless you for giving voice to all our yearnings: please, let them live, bring them home.
So here’s another thing:
I’m not just an old softie, either: before I was a Mum, I was an actress and director. I’ve got a showbiz resume as long as both my arms, and I’m not in the business of lying to performers. Jamie: you are really good. Sing for the love of singing and you’ll be fine. Some day, God willing, you’ll walk onto a stage and be so at home in the “hot spot” of those lights, so focused on the song, so loving toward an audience (and they to you) that the beautiful connection between the song, the singer, and the audience will melt your fear, and you’ll be really “home.” The music will take you there. Trust it. Trust yourself. Take your time. You have a great gift. Love, sing, and do not be afraid.

All may say as they will.. BUT I say JAMIE PUGH is realy a fantastic singer.. What a woice. I hope he will win the BGT this year. Only because his worthe it. I held my thumb for Susan before she is also fantastic. But Now when I heard JAMIE he must be the winner no doubt at all..

Good for you, Donna! You know first hand what the rest of us only sense from Jamie’s singing - he’s a beautiful, talented man with a wonderful gift. It’s really a shame that the world is so jaded, so cynical, that we can’t accept beauty when it’s presented to us.
Please tell Jamie not to let this stop him from continuing. There are many of us who embrace what he has to offer. And kudos to you for encouraging him to share his gift.
I just can’t get enough of Jamie’s singing, I get a sense of peace and relaxation when I hear him sing, Oh Jamie show the world what talent you have, you are a one off. and good for Donna for speaking out, some people are just jealous Donna. the very best to both of you, I want more of Jamie’s singing.
I will say again, Jamie you have a beautiful voice. Know this, there are hateful people in this world whose only joy in life is to destroy others. They are so miserable in their drab little existence the only way they can make themselves feel good is to tear others down. I saw the West End video and to put it bluntly you were not very good, but to even compare West End to Britain’s Got Talent is like comparing apples to oranges. I saw your fear.
Get whatever help you need to overcome this stage fright. I really want you to put out a CD for me to purchase. I love your voice that much.

I’m sorry, but anyone that can call this man a liar is clearly blind and stupid for believing the likes of the sun! He never said he had NEVER performed in from of an audience only that he had stage fright and hadn’t gone up for something as big as Britains got talent!! He clearly had never received that reception before, the emotion was real. It isn’t an entry requirement to never have performed before, this man has a beautiful voice that moved a lot of people, I hope he wins.

My husband and I think Jamie’s performance was splendid. Afterward we were moved by his sincere and humble reaction to all the applause… His success within that moment was inspiring to anyone with a dream to fulfill, or fear to overcome.

Wow more liar claims. Jeez he didn’t lie, and a when a man’s woman says so, ITS THE DAMN TRUTH. Jamie is a brilliant singer with a dream and a spirit. Quit trying to bug him out cause you can’t do half the crap he can. Jamie, Donna, if you happen to hear or read this. Don’t let these stupid liar claims, and nonsense these people are putting out haunt you or make you feel down or scared because the show is about someone fulfilling their dreams with their own talents. Jamie has a great gift, and is very inspiring and has his dream to fulfill which I know and have hopes for, that he will fulfill it. These liar claims are just lies themselves. iam peter stewart former world disco danceing champion and britans got talent auditionee i was also treated with contempt as i was suned my all and even susan boyle was treated like sh??t also but wasint aware of it at the time jamie should have been in the last 5 acts
i was really lucky troo evan get in the last 150 acts and should have at least been shown
people just lable people with great talents evan through they are great because iam 50 years old the black groups gave me and most of the white acts a really ruf time but now in this world we cant talk back in case we get arrested for being rasest-peter stewart(disco talent77)150acts out of the 10.000 not bad iam happy wa that and i did it fore the teenage cancer trust eneyway keep the faith my dear friends
